by

The Collins College of Professional Studies (CCPS) at St. John’s University is delighted to welcome Vincenzo Diana (pictured left) and Vittoria Silveri (shown right) from the University of Perugia, Italy. Vincenzo is completing his Master’s in Finance and Quantitative Methods for Economics, and Vittoria is completing her Bachelor’s in biotechnology.

Vincenzo, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration previously explored special purpose acquisition companies in his thesis. In his current research, he aims to conduct a sentiment analysis of investor sentiment towards companies listed in the S&P 500 to serve as a metric for informing investor trading strategies in financial markets.

Vittoria’s research aims to explore innovative solutions to complex problems in biotechnology with a specific focus on communications surrounding vaccines and the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Institute of International Communication at St. John’s University believes in the interdisciplinary application of communications studies in a multi-sector global system. Both scholars contribute to informing global communication strategies in today’s communication landscape: Vincenzo from an economic focus and Vittoria through Healthcare. St. John’s University looks forward to offering guidance in the research process and strengthening relationships and academic opportunities with the University of Perugia.
