St. John’s Multi-Sector Communication Program Awards its First PhD

On October 20, 2023, Dr. Sinha became the first PhD candidate of the Multi-Sector Communication program at St. John’s University to receive a doctorate in multi-sector communication after successfully defending her dissertation. The Institute for International Communication would like to recognize this monumental moment, one that is a testament to scholars like Dr. Sinha, who embody hard work, perseverance, and an unparalleled passion for learning that pushes boundaries and encourages the advancement of society.

In her research, Dr. Sinha offers insight and a fresh perspective on the intersection of environment and feminism, addressing societal gender disparity through an ecofeminist lens. The conversation is available on the ICM YouTube page.

Dr. Shweta Dilip Singh Sinha is an Indian scholar with a Master’s Degree in Genetic Medicine from the University of Sheffield, UK, an MBA from India, and over a decade’s experience working as a Branding, Business, and Advertising consultant. She was recently awarded her PhD in Multi-Sector Communication from St. John’s University.
